Pemanfaatan Jurnal Elektronik Berdasarkan Analisis Sitiran Pada Skripsi Mahasiswa Program Studi Ilmu Perpustakaan Fakultas Adab Dan Humaniora Universitas Islam Negeri Sulthan Thaha Saifudddin Jambi
Abstract
The purpose of this research is to find out how many library science study program students use electronic journals in writing their thesis seen from the utilization, year of publication, and language. this research is quantitative research. The collection method used is the documentation method by taking a bibliography of the theses of library science study program students in 2020-2022, totaling 252 theses. This research resulted in three things, namely: (1) Electronic journals cited in the theses of 2020 graduating students amounted to 12.7%, 2021 graduating students amounted to 40.3%, and 2022 graduating students amounted to 46.9%. (2) The age of the latest electronic journal collection in 2020 is 4 years, the age of the latest electronic journal collection in 2021 graduates is 6 years, and the age of the latest electronic journal collection in 2022 graduates is 5 years. (3) The electronic journal language used by 2020 graduates is Indonesian by 100% and English by 0%, the electronic journal language used by 2021 graduates is Indonesian by 99.5% and English by 0.5%, and the electronic journal language used in 2022 is Indonesian by 99.1% and English by 0.9%. Recommendations from the author, namely, the library should increase the availability of electronic journals because of the large number of citing electronic journals by students, the need to socialize and increase promotion of electronic journals more regularly to users, so that the electronic journals of the Jambi Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin State Islamic University library can be known and utilized by students in preparing theses, the need for additional electronic journals in various fields in all faculties of the Jambi Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin State Islamic University.
